Private AI for Your Team, Minus the Leak
Someone in your office pasted a client document into a public chatbot this week. Private AI gives them the same tool on a machine rented to you, in a building you control.
£500 per month for the software and the hardware rental. You rent the machine — you don’t buy it.
Private AI is an AI assistant that runs entirely on hardware you control, so prompts, uploaded documents and chat history never reach a third-party provider. Ours is a private LLM on a dedicated machine in your office, with a chat assistant, document search and custom assistants, installed and supported by us.
See what a private assistant would read
A short call to work out whether a private AI machine fits your team. No hardware is ordered until you have seen the plan.
Private chat, document spaces and assistants, all running on the one machine in your office. The only outside connection is your own sign-in.
The Phone and the Inbox Can Stay in the Cloud
Local AI is for the confidential, document-heavy work. For answering calls, managing the inbox and chasing leads, our hosted agents are up and running in days with no hardware at all — and plenty of clients run both.

The Ban Does Not Work. The Alternative Does.
Staff who need a letter drafted or a document summarised quickly are already using a chatbot, usually with the best of intentions and no record of what went where. A blanket ban moves that out of sight; it does not stop it.
| Public chatbot | Private AI chatbot (ours) | Private LLM you build yourself | |

| Where prompts and files go | The provider’s servers | A machine in your office | A machine in your office |
| Chat history stored | With the provider | On your machine | On your machine |
| Used to train models | Depends on the plan and settings | Never | Never |
| Who can see who used it | Nobody in your business | You, through your own sign-in | You, if you build the access control |

What “Private” Has to Mean
Keeping AI private is not a setting on a public service. Plenty of providers offer a tick-box that says your data is not used for training, and that is worth having, but the documents still leave your building, still sit on someone else’s servers, and still appear in someone else’s processing record. For a firm whose retainers, contracts or professional-body guidance restrict where client material can go, the tick-box is not the point.
Private AI in the sense we mean it is physical. The model runs on a dedicated machine on your network. The chat history is stored on it. The documents you upload are stored on it. When someone asks a question, the answer is produced in the room, and the only outside connection the machine makes is to your own Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account for sign-in.
That changes the conversation with your DPO or your advisers. Instead of assessing a processor, negotiating a transfer mechanism and adding a line to the Article 30 record, the answer to “where does the data go?” is: nowhere. You remain the data controller, your existing retention and access policies keep applying, and there is no third-party copy to chase when a deletion request comes in.
A private LLM for law firms is the clearest case. Client files, counsel’s advice and correspondence can be searched, summarised and drafted against without any of it reaching an AI provider — and without the firm having to build and maintain a server to make that possible. The same logic holds for accountants with client ledgers, clinics with patient correspondence and HR teams with grievance files.
One Machine in the Office, Three Tools On It
Everything runs on the one machine, and your team log in with the accounts they already have.
A private AI chatbot for the whole team
A ChatGPT-style assistant on your own machine. Staff ask questions, upload documents and images and work through drafts, and none of it leaves the building.
Document spaces
Contracts, files and reports organised into spaces. Search, summarise and compare across hundreds of documents, with a citation to the page every answer came from.
Custom assistants
The monthly report, the standard memo, the routine check — built around your workflows and running on the same machine, covered by the support arrangement.
| Included | Not included |

From Public Chatbot to Private Assistant
Most clients start with one team and widen the rollout once that team is using it daily. Adding people later is a configuration change, not a new project.
Scope the first team
One team, one clearly defined use: the contracts folder, the tender inbox, the HR files. A short call sizes the machine for it.
We install and import
The machine goes on your network, single sign-on is connected to your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and your existing documents are imported into spaces.
Staff switch over
We train the people who will use it. The public chatbot habit ends because the private one is easier, not because of a memo.
Where Local AI Is the Wrong Answer
We would rather lose the enquiry than the trust. Three things we tell every prospect before they sign anything.
It will not make you compliant by itself
No product can make a business UK GDPR-compliant on its own. What private AI does is remove the hardest question from the assessment — where the personal data goes. Lawful basis, retention and staff conduct remain yours.
It is slower than the big cloud models
Open-weight models on a single machine are capable for summarising, drafting and answering questions about your own documents. For frontier reasoning on hard, novel problems, the largest cloud models are still ahead. That is the trade.
It is a weeks-long install, not a sign-up
A cloud agent is live in days. Local AI needs the machine specified, delivered, installed on your network and your documents imported. Weeks, not months — but not tomorrow.
Private by Construction, Not by Policy
Nothing leaves the building
Models, documents and chat history all live on the box. No third-party AI processor and no restricted transfer for the AI step.
Your sign-in, your access list
Single sign-on with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. You decide who has access with the tools you already administer.
Never trained on your content
Your documents and conversations are not used to train or improve any model. The models arrive trained and stay that way unless you ask.
Installed and supported by us
Hardware, installation, training, updates and support from one team, with a data processing agreement covering the support access you grant us.

Private AI: Common Questions
What is private AI?
AI that processes your prompts and documents on hardware you control instead of on a provider’s servers. With ours, the model, the chat history and every uploaded file stay on a machine in your office. Nothing is sent to an outside service to produce an answer.
Is a private AI chatbot as good as ChatGPT?
For everyday business work — summarising, drafting, extracting, answering questions about your own documents — it is capable and most offices are happy with it. It is somewhat slower, and the largest cloud models are still ahead on hard, novel reasoning. That is the trade for keeping data in-house.
What is a private LLM?
A large language model — the kind of model behind chat assistants — running on your own hardware rather than accessed through a provider. Ours use open-weight models, whose weights are published so they can be installed and run anywhere, including a machine in your office.
Can a private LLM read our own documents?
Yes. Documents are organised into spaces on the machine. You can search, summarise and compare across hundreds of files, and answers cite the page they came from so a person can check the source.
Is our content used to train the model?
No. Your documents and conversations are not used to train or improve any model, ours or anyone else’s. The models arrive trained and stay that way unless you ask us to change them.
Do we need our own IT team to run it?
No. We specify the machine and rent it to you, install it on your network, connect your existing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace sign-in, import your documents and train your team. Updates and support are ongoing, from the people who installed it.
How much does Local AI cost?
£500 per month for the software and the hardware rental. The dedicated machine is rented to your business, not sold: you never buy the hardware. It is installed in your building and runs the private chat, document spaces and assistants. Local AI is for business customers only.
